About the Program:
The Uber Health Ride Project is an NBDF program being piloted in partnership with the Nevada Chapter. This program is a targeted, community-informed initiative designed to deliver measurable access improvements led by the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) Health Access and Strategic Innovation (HASI) Department to address transportation barriers as a critical social determinant of health. This pilot leverages Uber Health’s HIPAA-compliant platform to coordinate no-cost or subsidized rides for individuals with bleeding disorders who require access to essential healthcare services.
Rides may be used to get to eligible medical appointments and services such as:
- HTC Visits
- Doctor Appointments
- Pharmacy
- Mental Health Services
- Other Specialists
This service is made possible by a generous donation from the Kopenitz Family and is specifically for individuals with a bleeding disorder.
